The ice kings and queens of the Between the Sheets Curling Club have been showing off their silverware at the end of a successful 2023-24 season.
The AGM, closing bonspiel and annual prizegiving were held at Greenacres Curling Centre on March 26.
The president, Andy Malyon, thanked John Murdoch of J&M Murdoch (Skip and Plant Hire) for presenting the club with a new trophy to replace the Lawson’s of Largs Trophy, which is now completely full of winners' names stretching back 33 years.
The John Scott Meat Trophy is one of the oldest trophies and dates back to 1989, while the Christmas Bonspiel was sponsored by John Scott Meat Company and is a very popular event.
The annual curling weekend to the North West Castle in Stranraer was most enjoyable and Gordon Brown’s team of Maggie Rutherford, Lisa Brown and Dick Kuyt were the winners of the weekend which was sponsored by Beefeater Gin.
