A DISABLED Saltcoats man who is wheelchair dependant had this water cut off while work was being carried out but was left with nothing to drink for THREE days.

James Blane received a pack from Scottish Water telling him about a project in his area and to instruct him of the effects on his water supply.

Within the pack there was a special needs form which Mr Blane filled out stating that if his water was cut off he would need a supply of bottled water.

Mr Blane, of Gilfillan Avenue, was then informed that his water would be shut off from 8am on Thursday, April 24 until 8am on Saturday, April 26.
