Craig Black pounced on the first youngster as she slept in bed in Saltcoats, Ayrshire, last March.
Black (17) was later charged before striking up a friendship with another young girl that he met.
They eventually had sex despite the fact the child was underage.
Black previously admitted to charges of rape and having unlawful sexual intercourse.
The High Court in Glasgow heard this week that he had been planning to join the army prior to the incidents and had been left ashamed at what he had done.
Judge Lord Brailsford told Black that such serious offences must result in him being locked up.
