KILWINNING Big Brother contestant Mikey Hughes has hit the ground running in the new series of the show and has so far been a bunny girl, a best man and has worn a female contestant's underwear- which caused massive controversy in the house.

The 33-year-old has already become favourite with the bookies to win the hit TV show and everyone in the town is rooting for the blind Scot.

One ex-Kilwinning resident who remembers Mickey well told the Herald:“He was a nice kid, everyone knew and recognised him when he was younger and I am sure they still do. He was always up for a laugh and always tried to be the comedian. I think Michael was bond to be in the lime light somehow and it is great to see that he has done so well."
