ARSONIST AWAITS HIS SENTENCE

A MAN who tried to burn down a house in Stevenston by setting a piece of paper alight and putting it through the letterbox has been remanded in custody while his sentence is decided.
David Wylie (27) pleaded guilty to placing paper and accelerant through the letterbox of the house in Townhead Street and attempting to set fire to the house which was then occupied by two men on January 29 this year.
