A BEWILDERED Saltcoats mum revealed how she managed to carry THREE potentially lethal knives on to a plane - and then flew to Spain without anyone noticing.

Alice Morrison, 47, had confiscated the blades from her youngest son, Gordon, 26, who had been playing around with in his home and had put them in her handbag.

But last week she walked through Glasgow Airport security and flew to Alicante with the knives - just a year after the attempted terrorist attack where airport staff and passers-by tackled would-be suicide bombers.
