FISHERMEN FIGHT BACK

FISHERMEN have launched a petition this week against the restrictions placed on Ardrossan Harbour, which has left them without a major fishing spot.
The fishermen are calling for a safe and accessible area to be designated within Ardrossan Harbour and have so far received over 60 signatures.
Ron Oldfield, owner of the Splash Sport Fishing Tackle in Saltcoats said: "Clydeports decision to ban fishermen from using the pier, while they claim that safety is the utmost concern, is ludicrous."
