A FAST-RISING teenage rowing ace with designs on competing in the 2012 London Olympic Games is gearing up for one of the ultimate endurance tests next week.

Donald Evans (19) from Saltcoats is teaming up with four fellow students at Cambridge University’s Fitzwilliam College to row the channel, heading from Dover to Calais across the busiest shipping lane in Europe all in a very good cause.
