The historic return of the QE2 on its final journey to the Clyde was witnessed by 50,000 last Sunday.

There was excitement in the local area as the world famous Clyde built ship headed up the river to Greenock's Ocean Terminal at approximately 11am.

The grand old lady was greeted with glorious sunshine on her return journey before leaving in a spectacular farewell at nightfall with a pulsating pyrotechnics display.

The QE2 is heading to Dubai to become a floating hotel.
