THREE TOWNERS DOWN UNDER

By Craig Nisbet

Printer Print Article

A DEDICATED group with fond memories of Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston is thriving down under, and attracting membership from quite a few people in the regulars' former home towns.

Their website started as an emailing group back in 1999, and next July will be their tenth anniversary.

"Local members will be joined by expatriates from around the world to celebrate with a reunion in one of the Three Towns - a committee of local members is at present considering arrangements for the event. So far, it's shaping up to be quite an occasion," said forum administrator Hugh McCallum, who now lives on the Ballerine Peninsula in Australia.
