POLICE: 'FIRE WAS RACIST'

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an industrial unit in Saltcoats was set on fire and racist graffiti was sprayed on the side of a building.

Just after midnight on Thursday, October 23 three appliances were called out to industrial units in Rennie Business Park, after a deliberate fire was started.

The blaze damaged four units in Factory place, causing several thousand pounds damage and police attending the scene discovered racist graffiti spraypainted on one of the units.

Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact Saltcoats CID on 01294-404500.
