FOUR YEARS FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER

A MAN was jailed for four and a half years last week for a murder bid on a soldier in a knife attack.
A judge told Steven Gibb at the High Court in Edinburgh: “You pled guilty to attempting to murder your friend. In the moment you assaulted him you meant to kill him.”
Lord Brodie said it was a “very serious” offence and he would have jailed Gibb for six years, but for his guilty plea.
