STREET CLOSED OFF BY BLAZE

SALTCOATS' Dockhead Street was closed off on Sunday night after an electrical fire in a three-storey building.
Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service were called to a first floor flat after reports of a strong smell of smoke.
Ardrossan and Kilwinning - based firefighters attended and immediately tried to locate the fire but had to call in the Aerial Rescue Pump from Kilmarnock to pinpoint the fire.
As a result of limited access the police closed off the street.
