THE Tinsel and Torchlight Parade will be extra special this year with the Caledonian Pipers leading the way on Friday night.

Ladies from Trinity Church will be singing heavenly carols before Santa arrives to lead the parade at 6.30pm from Smith Street.

Children both big and small will follow with their tinsel and torches before arriving at The Cross.

The countdown will begin for the grand switch on which will launch Dalry into a sea of bright lights.

Further festivities will continue with a fun fair and all the shops in the Main Street will be opening late.

Santa's Grotto will be at Rosearden, where children can have their pictures taken with Santa.
