Golf ace Alastair flies flag at Ardeer

A STRONG field of 60 competitors from clubs throughout Ayrshire battled it out for the prizes in the Ardeer Golf Club Junior Open Competition for the Gareth Ferguson Trophy (Scratch) and the Tinsley Trophy (Handicap).

Adam Foley from Ayr club Belleisle lifted the Ferguson Trophy with a scratch 78 while host club member Alastair McIntyre lifted the Tinsley Trophy with a nett 65, beating clubmate Ross Black by one shot.
