Strain quashes rumours of Scottish Cup winner's move to Irvine
SENSATIONAL speculation that former Scottish Cup-winning striker Andy McLaren could be on his way to IRVINE MEADOW were quashed by the club this week althought he player remains open to offers after being refused a new deal by Ayr United.
Rumours were rife last week that the maverick 35-year-old hitman had been made a lucrative offer by last season's Stagecoach Super League Premier Division runners-up wiht the news no doubt exciting fans.
However boss Chris Strain said this week: "We have had no contacdt with Andy McLaren and he will not be joining Irvine Meadow.
