BROTHERS Gavin and Jamie Friels will go to head for the first time in the Junior football arena as their respective clubs IRVINE MEADOW and SALTCOATS VICTORIA do battle in a season-opening Ardagh Glass League Cup match.
And for 90 minutes at least brotherly love will be replaced by sibling rivalry as the brothers battled for possession and points at the start of another hotly anticipated season.
Midfielder Jamie (28) admitted that the Seasiders would be underdogs against big-spending Meadow while Gavin (30) will hope to earn a place in the startomg line-up at a club where there is intense competition for places.
