NO SCORE IS NO BORE

WHILE this was a scoreless draw it was like night and day compared with a couple of desperate no-score affairs between the two sides last season with much more quality on show.
Irish striker Conor Sammon impressed yet again in just his second competitive match and earned the praise of Rugby Park gaffer Jim Jefferies for anoteh fine performance. Indeed he was unlucky not to net his first goal for the visitors, coming close on a couple of occasions.
Killie had the best opportunity in the first half as Sammon flicked the ball over goalkeeper Mark Howarsd's head but a home defender was alert to clear the danger.
