STUNG FOR TEN
By Craig Nisbet
Seniors St Mirren were down checking out SALTCOATS VICTORIA goalkeeper David Mackie and new boy Greg Warden at the weekend, as the Seasiders beat Newmains United 3-2 in the West Of Scotland Cup.
“Saints seemed to like what they saw and will be taking a look at the players again,” boss George Gillon said.
“I was pleased for all the lads on Saturday as we’ve been looking to win for a while.
“Johnstone Burgh are coming up in the Junior Cup soon, and I’d say there’s not much between the two sides. George Walker has brought in some good players and is a very experienced manager, so it’ll be a good game.”
