HILLHEAD/JORDANHILL 19 v GARNOCK 7

ON a dull and dismal Saturday afternoon in Glasgow, table-toppers, Garnock, gave a display to match the weather.

Playing well below their best and against a Hillhead/Jordanhill side who were geared up for this encounter, Garnock were out-thought and out-manoeuvred as they tumbled to their first defeat of the season.

With a reshuffled back line having Fraser Thomson, normally a flanker, at centre, a very inexperienced second row and a very young bench of substitutes, Garnock were always going to struggle against an impressive home team.
