Citylink Scottish Cup Second Round Replay: DALRY THISTLE 1 GLENAFTON ATHLETIC 1 (Dalry won 5-3 on penalties)
JUBILANT DALRY THISTLE boss John Garoch lavished praise on his giant-killers for sending heavily favoured Glenafton Athletic crashin gouf of the Citylink Scottish Cup on Saturday.
Heroic midfielder Barry Fleeting sunk the winning penalty in a nerve-jangling shootout in the replay at neutral Newlandsfield Park.
Garroch said: "I was delighted with the attitude and commitment of the players, which was first class. We have been down at half-time in two of the last three cup ties and come back to win. It was a great team effort and that's by far the best result I've had since I took charge in the summer. we deserved to win, some of the neutrals found it hard to tell who was the Premier Division team.
