Stagecoach Super League First Division ARDROSSAN WINTON ROVERS 3 GLENAFTON ATHLETIC 4 WINTON dropped their first points of the season against a strong Glenafton side who came back from going behind twice in the first half.
The Ardrossan side crushed Girvan last week aided by a number of referee decisions. This week they found themselves victims of some puzzling decisions and over indulgence by the referee of his far side linesman.
Both sides were well known to each other, a large number of the Glens squad and Management forming the backbone of the Dalry side which the Rovers pipped to the Ayrshire District league title last season.
The home side got off to the best possible start. In the fourth minute John Gallagher gathered in a throw from Murray halfway inside the Glens half and he turned his marker and back-heeled a neat pass into the run of Graham Muir, who raced into the penalty box to fire a angled drive across Semple and high into the net to put Winton 1-0 up.
