TODHILL Country Centre in Stevenston has been taken over by the Richmond Fellowship Scotland – the largest care provider in Scotland.
Todhill – based in a rural setting in Dubbs Road – has been providing care services for adults with learning difficulties since 1897, and has been on its site in Stevenston for decades.
It originally operated as a working farm and now provides a home for adults with learning disabilities and also incorporates a substantial day centre.
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland has been operating in Ayrshire for a number of years.
According to Todhill’s management, care service provision at Todhill will continue following the takeover, and Richmond’s resources will enable further development of the site and the ability, in time, to offer an increased range of services to the local authorities who they already work with.
Anne Miller, the General Manager at Todhill, said: “The staff are very positive about the merger as it gives increased security to them.
“Along with our residents, tenants and those using our day centre, they are all looking forward to further development at Todhill and being part of The Richmond Fellowship Scotland.”
