A NEW multi-million pound bypass for Dalry will go ahead it was confirmed this week by the Scottish Government following a public enquiry.

The completion of the statutory procedures were given the green light for the A737 Dalry Bypass scheme and the A737 The Den scheme, much to the delight of local politicians but the local Labour group have again questioned why it has taken so long to get to this stage.

The ongoing saga surrounding the bypass has been an issue of contempt over the past few years despite reassurances from the SNP that everything that has been done has been done to ensure the bypass is completed as soon as possible.

It had been delayed due to objections from the public which meant that a Public Local Inquiry had to be carried out from September 2014 to July 2015.
