LAST week, West Kilbride's oldest resident was given pride of place in opening the village's new pharmacy.

Margaret Campbell, who is 102-years-old, helped to officially open the Lloyds Pharmacy in West Kilbride's Main Street.
The store has been transformed and residents can now benefit from enhanced services for a range of conditions, with a particular emphasis on skin health and pain management.
Julie Goldie, pharmacy manager, said: “We’re excited by our transformation. We want our new store to become the destination of choice for customers looking for expert health advice.
“Our knowledgeable eight-strong team will be on hand to provide customers with individual expertise on skin health, helping those with skin conditions to effectively manage their condition with product selection support and application techniques.”
Pain management is an area where the West Kilbride pharmacy team will now offer enhanced support.

“We know many who suffer from
long-term health conditions don’t always want to go to their doctor every time they have a question,” Julie
added.
“We’re able to support the work of GPs and other healthcare professionals in the area by offering convenient, one-to-one care that our local residents need and deserve.”

The community pharmacy located in the Main Street is the latest of more than 350 stores to complete the transformation.
