A DANGEROUS rapist has been sent back to prison.

John McDougall, 32, admitted buying alcohol for two underage girls in Ardrossan’s Glasgow Street on February 5 - two days after he was handed a stringent Sexual Offences Prevention Order.

It was previously revealed how McDougall - who has spent most of the last 15 years in jail for sex offences - called a hearing on his release from prison to have the terms of his order reduced.

But a sheriff ruled that the rapist must abide by 11 restrictions including:

• Preventing him from contacting any adult female he does not know unless she is accompanied by another adult

• Contacting any woman under 18 unless unavoidable

• Ordering him to inform the police of any relationship with any woman

• Not deleting any internet history, phone or text messages

However, it took McDougall only 48 hours to breach the conditions by communicating with two girls aged 14 and 15 in Glasgow Street.

He also admitted buying alcohol for the two girls at the Premier shop in the street.

McDougall, a prisoner of HMP Barlinnie, pleaded guilty to both charges with a plea of not guilty to buying tobacco for the girls being accepted by the procurator fiscal.

He was sentenced to 15 months in prison.
