TEAM North Ayrshire strengthened its international links this week as the council and its partners welcomed Chinese General Consul Pan to the area for its first international event.
Mr Pan and his wife Madam Yu met with Provost Joan Sturgeon, Councillor Marie Burns and members of the North Ayrshire Economic Development and Regeneration Board before undertaking a tour of North Ayrshire.
The first stop on the tour was Dundonald Links Golf Course where local company Golphin showcased the work they are doing with school children from Caledonia Primary School in Saltcoats.
As North Ayrshire enjoyed glorious sunshine, the group then visited Irvine Harbourside and the Ardeer Peninsula where they heard about proposals for the Ayrshire Growth Deal.
The tour finished at The Waterside Hotel, where guests met Chief Executive Elma Murray, Councillor Willie Gibson and over 50 businesses to hear first-hand how Team North Ayrshire’s approach is changing the way they do business.
