STANLEY Primary School held a mock wedding recently to teach children about the traditions and customs of weddings.

Mrs Hill, a teacher at Stanley Primary School organised the event in which the bride and groom (Leila Imrie & Jamie Noble, P2) showcased and educated everyone on customs of wedding days.

Mrs Hill said: “It was 3 classes of Primary 2 that was involved to learn the traditions and customs of weddings”.

“Just want to thank all the staff for helping organise the event as well as Rev. Jim Smith from the EU Church in Glasgow Street.”

“Also, a massive thank you to the Kandy Bar in Saltcoats for providing a cake for the kids to cut free of charge, and also a massive thank you to the helpers of the church that helped out with the reception.”

Our photographer, Ken McKissock, caught all the moments shown in what was a truly fantastic educational event by Stanley Primary School.
