THERE are plans for a Trident protest in Largs on Saturday by the Ayrshire CND.
The Scrap Trident Coalition which brings together Scottish CND and other other peace and anti war campaigns has called for protests all over Scotland this weekend.
Arthur West chair of Scottish CND said: “The Conservative Government have decided to have a vote on Trident replacement on Monday July 18.
“There are gatherings and vigils taking place all over Scotland on Saturday aimed at urging MPs to vote against Trident replacement.”
Mr West urged people who think the billions of pounds being spent on Trident replacement could be utilised in more socially useful ways should go along to any vigils or gatherings which are taking place in their area
Previous Trident protests have taken place on Largs promenade during recent years.
