FAMILY FUN and expert advice awaits North Ayrshire with the return of the council’s Tenants Fun Day.

The fourth annual event will take place on Saturday, August 27 at Kilwinning Academy between 11am and 3pm.

Its purpose is to give council tenants the chance to speak face-to-face with experts and get useful housing information and advice – and have some fun too.

Tenants will be able to report housing and repair issues and get guidance on things such as welfare rights, waste awareness and community safety.

Children will be kept entertained through a whole host of fun activities including owl magic, arts and crafts, a bouncy castle and emergency services demonstrations. Food and refreshments will also be served throughout the day.

Councillor Tony Gurney, Cabinet Member for Place, said: “This event has proven itself to be extremely useful for both the council and our tenants. It allows tenants to meet face-to-face with our housing staff in a fun and informal setting, giving us all the chance to build strong working relationships.

“I would encourage all our tenants to come along, have a chat with us and join in what I am sure will be a great day.”

The event is free and open to all North Ayrshire Council tenants.
