A MUM-OF-SIX will face sentencing next month after she admitted benefit fraud at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
Lisa Smith, 31, of Ailsa Gardens, Ardrossan, admitted claiming £4,500 of income support whilst she was in full-time education and in receipt of a student loan.
Brian Holliman, defending, said that his client had repaid approximately £300 of the money but she was a single parent with six children so was struggling financially.
He said that his client didn’t know she had to declare the loan and was working part-time during her studies and declared that job.
She will be back in court for sentencing next month after reports.
