AROUND a dozen friends will don their best fancy dress costumes this weekend and climb Arran’s highest peak - all in the name of charity.

Organised by local chef Darren Fisher, this event will see money being raised for the Ayrshire Hospice with Darren previously having organised charity events for a number of other charities.

And the group have support from a number of local businesses who are helping ensure the day goes smoothly.

To help them complete the challenge, the Cabin will be providing packed lunches for all of the walkers

And they will be suitably refreshed when they return as they will attend Garfields who are also funding the ferry tickets for the mission.

They will also have food provided by the Spicy Hut in Ardrossan’s Princes Street.

Darren said: “The Ayrshire Hospice deserve credit for the amazing support they give people in their last months and also the comfort they give to their families. Any donations would be much appreciated.”
