PUPILS from Ardrossan Academy will be performing at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall this autumn as part of a special series of concerts that will put young musicians from schools in the spotlight.

Music Café, which takes place on selected Thursdays from 1-2pm between October 13 and December 15 will give a number of schools, including the local secondary, the opportunity to perform to audiences in the Exhibition Hall at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Pupils from Ardrossan Academy will be playing on Thursday, December 15.

Music teacher Lynne Barnett said: “Senior Pupils from Ardrossan Academy performed at the Music Café in February 2016 and loved the experience. They performed both as a choir and as soloists and will be doing the same in December.

“The performing experience is invaluable to all pupils and the appreciation of the audience boosts their confidence in preparation for auditions and final practical exams.

“We are very proud of our musicians in Ardrossan Academy who work hard promoting the music department and the school within the local community, taking part in local competitions, carol singing and concerts and events.”

All performances are free and unticketed. Visit www.glasgowconcerthalls.com or call 0141 353 8000.
