A STEVENSTON man and his friend have raised almost £1,000 for charity after holding a number of events over the past few weeks.
Tony Fuggle, his friend Michelle and her daughter Kapri walked from Stevenston Train Station to Largs Train Station a few weeks back and the trio managed to raise £169 from the walk which took them five hours and eight minutes to complete.
This followed on from a Pokemon walk from Saltcoats to Ardrossan which raised £85 for McMillan Cancer Care.
The end of the fundraising drive came on October 1 when Tony held a Coffee Day at Annie Drummie’s Cafe in Stevenston and then a Psychic Night in Potter’s Bar.
A final total of £827.90 was raised and Tony said: “We’ve had a great few weeks with the Pokemon walk, the Psychic Night, raffles and the fun day.”
