A CHARITY fundraiser held last weekend has raised almost £2,000 for a local care home.
The SLS Fitness three-hour fitness fundraiser was held at Stanley Primary School raise money for the Three Towns Care home Stevenston.
Participants took part in six back-to-back fitness classes within the hall there.
Stephanie Smith, who organised the event, told the Herald: "Everyone worked extremely hard and really worked hard for the charity. Huge thank you to everyone who took part and raised money for the care home. Also a big thank you to all of amazing baking donations along with the local businesses that donated raffle prizes and those who supported the event by having a stall on the day."
"The total for the event is still being collated with sponsorship money still to be collected but the current total is just over £1700. I would just like to thank every single person who helped me make this event possible."
