ARDROSSAN Academy had special visitors this week as part of their very first anti-bullying week.

White Eskimo, a band travelling up and down the country spreading the message delivering a healthy lifestyle message, visited the school and performed to an enthusiastic crowd and even had time for autographs and selfies.

The Anti-Bullying week, organised by Dr Linda Cannon, encompassed a number of messages and events culminating in a non-uniform day with all money raised going to help anti-bullying charities.

Mrs May, Principal Teacher and Head of Annick House at the school, said: “The pupils really enjoyed it. They enjoyed the mix of music and the messages about the right choices like not giving in to peer pressure and they also got the chance to take selfies with the band and get their autographs. They are still talking about it.”

Other events included flash cards in each class on issues about bullying and an event for first and second-year pupils on the subject.
