TWO Saltcoats schoolboys became internet sensations last week when a video of them meeting their footballing heroes appeared on Barcelona’s Facebook page.
Calum Adamson and Leo Conway travelled down to Prestwick Airport last Wednesday night to try and catch a glimpse of arguably the best team in the world - and they got more than they ever imagined.
The pair, both nine-years-old, hit the headlines when a video of them meeting Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez was posted on Barcelona’s Facebook page and has been viewed over 6,000,000 times.
In an interview with BBC Scotland, Calum said: “I think that’s the only time I’ll ever see Messi, but if I see him again I will be the exact same.”
Leo added: “My school friends thought it was amazing, but some of them, I don’t know if they actually believe me.
“We were shaking, we were so excited.”
