LOCAL folk and blues band Will and Wild Horse are in the final eight to perform with Paisley superstar Paolo Nutini at Hogmanay in Edinburgh.

Over 400 bands submitted their best tunes for consideration for Hog The Stage 2016!

Bands from across Scotland were invited to submit their music for consideration by Paolo and will now face a public vote for the chance to open the Night Afore Concert on December 30 or Concert in the Gardens on December 31.

Voting is now underway on the Edinburgh’s Hogmanay website with just four days to go to vote for your favourite.

The band said: “We are interested in supporting Paolo as we fit along with his genre of music and could provide a great uplifting set before he plays. We have played the likes of Eden Festival, supported former Ian Brown guitarist Aziz Ibrahim, Hurricane No#1 and The Alarm guitarist Dave Sharp.”
