KIDS and adults from all over North Ayrshire took part in an incredible three-hour ‘class-a-thon’ at the weekend.

Over 100 dancers took part in the challenge on Sunday, January 8 at Seamill Hydro to raise funds for Charlene and Siobhan Dance Academy (CSDA).

Dancers from CSDA and their parents, as well as clients of local fitness instructor Claire Houston, did an exhausting session of four back-to-back dance and fitness classes.

The money, which will be fully collected next month, will go towards CSDA’s transport and competition team funds.

Dance teacher at CSDA, Siobhan Bryden told the Herald: “It went really well.

“The kids done great.

“We were all in agony afterwards – everyone’s been on Facebook saying how sore their muscles are!

“It was very hard going but it was worth it.

“There was quite a mixture of people there. The youngest was only four.

“She came along with her mum. Her and a wee five-year-old did great – they were like wee troopers!”
