ENTRY for the 2017 North Ayrshire Athletics Club 10k race is set to open next week.

The highly popular race is becoming a key fixture in the North Ayrshire sporting calendar and has sold out the past two years.

Starting and finishing at the athletics track at St Matthew’s, the route is described as fast and flat and perfect to set a PB.

The Race The Prom route takes in the newly refurbished prom in Stevenston and encompasses each of the Three Towns of Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston.

More details will be released in the coming weeks and months but there will definitely be a 3K Fun Run for the kids and any adults who want to join them.

The popular NAAC bar will be back this year for end of run celebration and relaxation.

Entries open through Entry Central (www.entrycentral.com) at 9am on Wednesday, February 1. Goodie bag including t-shirt for all finishers.

A club spokesperson said: “We really look forward to seeing you at one of the best sporting events in North Ayrshire – what a great incentive to get yourself to peak fitness over the summer!”
