TWO aspiring performers from North Ayrshire have won singing parts in Capall Dorcha’s A Night of Broadway.

Youngsters from across Ayrshire attended open auditions at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine on January 22 and the Ardrossan theatre company has now announced that Erin Dunn from West Kilbride and Morgan Cairns from Kilwinning are among the four finalists

Capall Dorcha Artistic Director Barry Robertson said: “Our open auditions were a way to involve the local community to participate in the show.

“With over 1,000 patrons coming to the Harbour Arts Centre to enjoy a Night of Broadway, we wanted to give this opportunity to the people of Ayrshire to share their talent and take part in the show with the cast.

“Originally we had two places available to pick for the performance at the Harbour Arts Centre on February 11, but after the auditions, we had to share this incredible talent with others!

“Our four cast members represent the wider Ayrshire community with each person representing North, South and East Ayrshire to come together and enjoy this fabulous performance.

“Each person chosen will sing their own song during the performance and with the cast!”

Morgan said: “I participated in Capall Dorcha’s Ensemble Acting Through Song professional development workshop and I cannot wait to perform with the cast.”

Erin added: “I have been singing since I was young and this will be my first time singing at the Harbour Arts Centre. I am excited!”

Kerr McKingley from Kilmarnock and Cameron Watson from Dundonald are the other two Ayrshire finalists.

Tickets for A Night of Broadway are currently on sale at the Harbour Arts Centre at £15 each.
