IRVINE Bay says its final Annual Public Meeting will be a chance to ‘celebrate’ regeneration that has been achieved across the area in the last decade.

The regneration company, launched in 2006, said it had taken the lead in delivering transformation throughout Irvine Bay since 2007.

It said Ardrossan, Saltcoats, Stevenston, Kilwinning and Irvine had all felt the positive impact of major projects in the town centres, in business areas and along the coast.

In a release Irvine Bay said the annual public meeting is ‘a moment to celebrate regeneration and the legacy for local place’s. The focus will be on:

* New jobs

* Refurbished business premises

* Inward investment

* Changes in our town centres

* Opportunities for young people

* Community developments

* Coastal projects

Local people and businesses are invited to hear about all of what’s been achieved.

Commenting on the achievements of Irvine Bay, Patrick Wiggins, Chief Executive said: “Our focus has always been on creating jobs and helping businesses to develop and invest by generating better infrastructure and opportunity. We have been able to do that – despite a long and deep recession – through the investment made in our work by the Scottish Government, and in particular through the creation of i3, Irvine’s Enterprise Area, and through the willingness of the Government, Scottish Enterprise and North Ayrshire Council to fund us to develop better business space to suit the needs of local and incoming companies.”

The final annual public meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 7 at 10.30am for 11am at The Gailes Hotel, Irvine, Marine Drive, Irvine, KA11 5AE.

The event is free but booking is essential.
