PUPILS from St Patrick's Primary School helped boost the work of a popular charity.

The P6 youngsters sold goods on behalf of the Fishermen's Mission, including mugs and key rings at their Christmas Fayre, held in Troon Concert Hall.

In all an impressive £63 was raised for the charity, who reach out to both active and retired fishermen by providing practical, spiritual and financial support – as well as a vital emergency response service.

The Fishermen's Mission are the only national charity who work solely to help fishermen and their families, and for more than 130 years of service, the charity have stayed true to our Christian calling with a strong tradition and proud heritage.
