PUPILS from St Palladius Primary School in Dalry took part in an eco-sports day recently.

The children had been working with members of Kilwinning Sports Club as part of an eco-topic.

For the recent event in the school, the kids were tasked with bringing in old clothes to encourage them to recycle.

Principle Teacher at St Palladius Primary, Mrs Meg Henning said that the day was a huge success.

She told the Herald: “The children were working with Jamie and Sean from Kilwinning Sports Club. It was an eco- topic. They integrated eco-games into their gym activities and the children did follow-up work in the class.

“They had collected old clothing that was to be donated and sold in the Kilwinning Sports Club shop. It was to show things can be recycled.”
