COSTA Coffee could be coming to Saltcoats after a planning application was lodged to move into the town.
The popular chain has sought permission of North Ayrshire Council to redevelop the old Sullivan’s pub in the town’s Dockhead Street and have also asked for an outdoor seating area.
This would be the latest in a long line of Costa stores to open in North Ayrshire, with the nearest one coming in the shape of drive through and sit-in store in Stevenston’s Ashenyards Estate.
Neighbours have been notified of the planning application and the case will go forward to planners who will decide whether it should be given the green light.
A timescale for opening is not yet known but a decision should be made within the next two months.
