THERE will be three hustings events held in the Three Towns ahead of May’s local elections.
Organised by the Three Towns Churches, the hustings will be held at the end of April with one for each of the wards within the Three Towns.
Invitations will be sent to all of the candidates and the events will be held on Monday, April 24 in Saltcoats Town Hall for Ward 9, Saltcoats, which has seven candidates, Wednesday, April 26 in Ardrossan Indoor Bowling Club for Ward 5, Ardrossan and Arran, which has seven candidates and Thursday, April 27 in the High Kirk Hall, Stevenston for Ward 4, Stevenston, which has nine candidates.
The meetings are organised by the Three Towns Churches and start at 7.30pm. The hustings will be chaired by Canon Matt McManus and the churches group says: “Come and meet the candidates and have your say. We will avoid the referendum proposal, Brexit and other concerns of the two Parliaments and attempts to stick to the work of North Ayrshire Council.”
