A TEACHER from a North Ayrshire school has been arrested for an alleged stalking offence.
Ross Davidson, 45, was arrested on Wednesday, police confirmed.
A spokesperson for North Ayrshire Council confirmed that a teacher had been suspended, but added: “It would not be appropriate for the council to comment further on matters relating to an individual employee.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that on Wednesday, April 19, a 45-year-old man was arrested in connection with an alleged offence contrary to Section 39 of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
A Crown Office spokesperson said: “The Procurator Fiscal at Kilmarnock received a report concerning a 45-year-old male, in connection with alleged incidents between May and July 2014.
“The accused was liberated from custody pending further inquiries.”
