TWELVE weeks of memory stimulating events at Abbotsford and Caledonia nursing homes by the Ardrossan Music Experience recently came to an end
Commenting on the experience, Gordon McNeil, said: “We have had a great time at both nursing homes using music to stimulate memories of the residents. It was amazing the response we received and the stories told just by playing a piece of music. You can tell by the photo that the resident really enjoyed themselves.”
The Ardrossan Music Experience will now review the programme to see what went well and assess the best way forward.
Gordon added: “We would like to thank the staff at both Abbotsford and Caledonia for their support, and kindness during our visits, and of course the residents for their participation which made it all a very worthwhile experience.”
