A DAD who aimed to raise £500 for a stillbirth and neonatal death charity by cycling round Arran in memory of his baby girl has smashed his target.
Andrew Mundell from Saltcoats raised a whopping £3,591 for SANDS with his 55mile cycle, along with with friends lan Murdoch and Kris Currie.
The trio completed the challenge in seven hours.
Andrew and his partner Jenna Salmon sadly lost their daughter Daisy last year and the fundraiser was in her honour.
Jenna said: “We raised £500 on Just Giving which will go to SANDS UK, and £3,091 will go to Ayrshire SANDS so we are extremely proud and grateful for all the support.
“Andrew and I would like to thank everyone who kindly sponsored, with a special thanks to all the workers in Hunterston A, Chemring, Annaplast, and the Albion Bar who helped to raise a lot towards this sponsorship for us.”
