PUPILS at Stanley Primary are on the road to health following the launch of the Daily Mile at their school on Monday.
The initiative encourages pupils them to walk or run for 15 minutes a day. The children at Stanley celebrated the launch of the initiative with free fruit provided by Morrison’s.
Lesley Richardson, teacher at Stanley, said: “It’s a government initiative to try and get the kids a bit healthier. Every year from P1-7 is taking part every day.
"It’s also part of our health and wellbeing programme in the school.”
